Called them from 600km away, was assured they had ice hut rentals “on the fish”. They told us we could sleep 2 in the ice shack. When we arrived as scheduled they were scrambling to find a heater and had no propane. They only had 1 ice hut very close to shore.(their only rental hut) We had to drive an auger and the heater with only 2 small bottles of propane to the hut ourselves. It was a fibreglass hut with no insulation, and couldn’t sleep 1 person little alone 2. (Too small) Propane ran out after 2 hours of heat. We were told it should last 8 hours when we called them from the hut. They reluctantly brought out 2 more small propane tanks for us for the entire night and next morning. We ended up going to Canadian tire to buy 12 more to last the night. At minus 18 the heater couldn’t take the edge off the cold anymore. Were forced to sleep in our van. This place is not recommended for their ice hut rentals. We felt more like inconveniences than customers.

Amazing views. Great breakfast and very friendly. It's a bit off the hiking path but well worth it in my opinion. Great spot to stop at on your boat or atv in the summer or snowmobile in the winter

Negative review is about their ice hut rental abilities ONLY!!!

Their huts are made of fibreglass with holes and tears all over them. The plexiglass windows had rivets missing and were flapping in the wind. They knew we were coming and were so ill prepared for our arrival. Worst of all we fished hard for 12 hours with live bait and a large selection of gear and caught nothing. Their fish and chips is delicious though.

Stopped in for lunch while snowmobiling. Wasn't too busy, had local beer and some reasonably priced dishes. Wife was happy with the mixed drink selections.

Internet said Rocky's was open today. I walked several miles and found that was not true. Before you go there, best to give them a call to see if they really are open.
